दूरदर्शन पर डा.भगवतीशरण मिश्र की पुस्तक पर चर्चा

नई दिल्ली। दूरदर्शन के व्यास चैनल पर माह के अंतिम दिन होने वाली पुस्तक चर्चा में इस बार पूर्व आई.ई.एस. एवं प्रख्यात उपन्यासकार डॉ. भगवती शरण मिश्र के सम्पूर्ण व्यक्तित्व एवं कृतित्व पर हाल ही में प्रकाशित ग्रन्थ पर केन्द्रित रही। सुश्री रूबी साहित्यरत्न द्वारा लिखित ‘एक उपन्यासकार डॉ. भगवती शरण मिश्र की जीवनगाथा’ पर इस शैक्षिक चैनल द्वारा आयोजित चर्चा में वरिष्ठ साहित्यकार डॉ.भगवती शरण मिश्र भी उपस्थित थे। संयोजक श्री अमरेन्दर कुमार ने चर्चा का शुभारभ करते हुए डॉ. मिश्र के व्यक्तित्व व कृतित्व के विभिन्न पहलुओं पर प्रकाश डाला। उनके अनुसार ‘डा. मिश्र के साहित्य में भारतीय संस्कृति का सुंदर चित्रण हमें अहसास करवाता है कि भूतकाल का अध्ययन वर्तमान को बेहतर बनाता है तो वर्तमान की समीक्षा भविष्य को श्रेष्ठ बना सकती है।

एक सवाल के जवाब में डॉ.मिश्र अपने पितामह पं. यजुनन्दन मिश्र जोकि संस्कृत के प्रकांड विद्वान थे, की प्रेरणा को अपने समस्त साहित्यिक उपलब्धियों का श्रेय देते हुए यह रहस्योद्घाटन भी किया कि उनके पिता पं. गजानन मिश्र उनके लेखन कर्म से खिन्न रहते थे क्योंकि वे नहीं चाहते थे कि अन्य लेखकों की तरह उनके पुत्र का जीवन भी अभावग्रस्त हो। इसीलिए उन्होंने बाल्यकाल में लिखे उनके उपन्यास ‘भीगी पलकें’ को फाड़ दिया और लेखन से दूर रहने की चेतावनी भी दी।

चर्चा में मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में भाग लेने वाले राष्ट्र-किंकर संपादक डा. विनोद बब्बर ने डॉ. भगवती शरण मिश्र के सम्पूर्ण साहित्य को उदात्त जीवन मूल्यों को समर्पित, उद्देश्य परक और कालजयी बताया। डॉ.मिश्र द्वारा पौराणिक पृष्ठभूमि पर लिखे दर्जनों उपन्यास वर्तमान पीढ़ी को युगबोध करवाते हैं इसी कारण अनेक भारतीय भाषाओं में उनके अनुवाद भी हुए। एकला चलो रे, लक्ष्मण रेखा, एक और अहल्या, मैं भीष्म बोल रहा हूँ, अथ मुख्यमंत्री कथा, देख कबीरा रोया, काके लागू पाय, मैं राम बोल रहा हूँ आदि उपन्यासों को उदृत करते हुए विनोद बब्बर ने दार्शनिक संवादों की भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा की। प्रेम को मर्यादा का पर्याय बताना, देश और दुनिया में सूर्यास्त को निहारने वालों की भीड़ लेकिन सूर्याेदय के समय बिस्तर न छोड़ना अर्थात दूसरों के पतन से आनंदित होने की मानवीय प्रवृति, अपने से भागने और अपनों से भागने जैसे दार्शनिक संवादों की व्याख्या करते उन्होंने डा. मिश्र को साहित्य क्षितिज का दिनकर घोषित किया जो अर्थशास्त्र से पीएचडी करते है लेकिन रहे भाषा और संस्कृति की अर्थ(धरती)से जुडें हुए। साहित्य को समाज का दर्पण बताने की चर्चा करते हुए साहित्यकार सेे कमेन्टेटर नहीं युगदृष्टा होने की अपेक्षा की जिसे युद्ध भूमि से धृत राष्ट्र को आंखों देखा हाल सुनाने वाला संजय नहीं, अर्जुन का संशय दूर करने वाले श्रीकृष्ण होना चाहिए।

मासिक पत्रिका ‘दूसरा मत’ के संपादक श्री ए.आर.आजाद ने डा.मिश्र के व्यक्तित्व और उनकी कृतियों के चरित्र में एकरूपता, उनकी समृद्ध भाषा, मानवीय मूल्यों के प्रति विशेष आग्रह, सच्चा मानवतावादी होने के अतिरिक्त उनकी कहानियों की विशेष चर्चा की। डा. अम्बरीश कुमार द्वारा पूछे गए प्रश्न का उत्तर देते हुए डा.मिश्र ने श्री अमृतलाल नागर से स्वयं की तुलना को सचोच्च सम्मान बताया क्योंकि नागर जी उनके प्रिय रचनाकर रहे है।

झण्डे ,बैनर,पोस्टर,लाउड्स्पीकर,जुलूसपर प्रतिबन्ध है,जिससे चुनाव का कोई माहौल लग ही नही रहा है! हाँ हाथी और मायावती की मूर्तियों पर पर्दा डाल दिया गयाक्योकि इससे आचार

संहिता का उल्लंघन हो रहा था,परन्तु राजनैतिक दल ऊल -ज़लूल वायदों से मतदाताओ को

पथभ्रष्ट कर रहे है ! इधर काँग्रेसके खुर्शीद आलम जी मुस्लिम मतदाताओ को ९ % आरछण

का लौलीपाप दिखा रहे है उधरसपा के प्रदेशीय अधय्छ श्री अखिलेश यादव जी इण्टर पास होने पर लैप टाप बाँटने का प्रलोभनदेकर युवाओं को लुभा रहे है ! सपा के राष्ट्रीय अधय्छ श्री मुलायम सिंह जी ने तो सभीमाप-द्ण्ड तोड कर किसानो को आकर्षित करने के लिये उनके दल को जिताने पर फ़्री पानी बिजलीदेने का वायदा कर दिया है,जैसे सरकारी खजाना मायावती के बाद उनकी पुश्तैनी ज़ायदाद होज़ायेगा ! यही नही सभी बलात्कार की शिकार अबलाओं को पुरस्क्रत करने के लिये सरकारी नौकरीप्रदान करने का वायदा कर दिया ,जैसे सरकारी नौकरी की अनिवार्य योग्यता स्नातक न होकर बलात्कार की पीड्ता होना हो ! सोचिये जो अबला बलात्कारियो से अपने को नही बचा सकीवह प्रशासन की बागडोर कैसे संभाल सकती है ? दूसरी तरफ़ झूठ पर आधारित केस रजिस्टर करवाकर नौकरी करने की होड लग जायेगी जो कि सामाजिक मान-द्ण्डो को समाप्त कर देगा !वैसेही ५०% से अधिक आरक्छण प्रदान कर अयोग्य लोगो की फ़ौज़ तैयार की जा चुकी है,पता नही आगेकी पीढी इसके लिये हमारी पीढी को कभी मुआफ़ करेगी अथवा नही ?चिन्तन का विषय यह भी हैकि इस भीड को खडी करने का विदेशों मे भारतकी अपनी साख पर कया प्रभाव पडेगा ? इस प्रकार के भाषणो का अर्थ कया है ,क्या यह आचारसंहिता का उल्ल्घन नही है कि सरकारी खज़ाना जो किसी की बपौती नही उसके दुरुप्योग कावक्तव्य दिया जाय ? आज देश और प्रदेशो का बजट अरबो रुपयों के घाटे का बनता है जिसकेलिये यही तथ्य और राजनेता दोषी है, जो सरकारी खज़ानो का दुरुपयोग राजाओ -महाराजाओं कीतरह तुगलकी आदेश पारित करते है,और सालिसिटर जनरल, औडीटर जनरल केवल रिपोर्ट लगा कर अपनेकार्यों की इतिश्री कर देते हैं! परन्तु उस्का परिणाम गरीब जनता को अतिरिक्त कर देकर,मँहगाई के बोझ के तले दब कर चुकाना पडता है या आत्महत्या या आत्म्दाह जैसा घ्रणितकार्य करने को बाध्य होना पड्ता है !

कार्यक्रम को सम्बोधित करते हुये मुख्य अतिथि भारत सरकार के संसदीय कार्य मंत्री श्री राजीव शुक्ला ने कहा कि आज से 64 वर्ष पूर्व महात्मा गाँधी का कत्ल इसलिए किया गया था क्योंकि वह अपने उसूलों पर चलते थे और भारत को एक धर्म-निरपेक्ष राष्ट्र के रूप में देखना चाहते थे उन्होंने कहा कि महात्मा गाँधी ने देश के बँटवारे का आखरी साँस तक विरोध किया। शुक्ला ने कहा कि काग्रेंस की विचारधरा सदैव धर्म निरपेक्ष रही है तथा भारतीय मुसलमान बुनियदी रूप से स्वयं धर्म निरपेक्ष है। उन्होंने मुसलमानों से आग्रह किया की वे अपने मतों के बँटवारे को न होने दे और एकमत होकर कांग्रेस को समर्थन प्रदान करें। इस अवसर पर प्रख्यात फिल्म निर्माता, निर्देशक एवं समाजसेवी श्री महेश भट्ट ने कहा कि राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गाँधी का बलिदान केवल भारत ही नहीं बल्कि मानवता के लिये अभूतपूर्व क्षति है और भारत में सम्पूर्ण शांति स्थापित करके ही राष्ट्रपिता को सच्ची श्रधांजलि अर्पित की जा सकती है जिसके लिये आवश्यक है कि देश के प्रत्येक प्रांत में धर्मनिर्पेक्ष राजनीतिक दल की सरकार बने जो केवल कांग्रेस ही दे सकती है। जो सम्पूर्ण रूप से एक धर्म-निर्पेक्ष राजनीतिक दल है। महेश भट्ट ने कांगेस के इतिहास और भारतीय सस्कृति पर प्रकाश डालते हुए कहा कि भारत का अस्तित्व केवल गाँधी की विचार धारा द्वारा ही रह सकता है वरना वह बिखर जायेगा उन्होंने अलीगढ़ मुस्लिम विश्वविद्यालय के छात्रों की प्रशांसा करते हुए कहा कि अमुवि का अल्पसंख्यक स्वरूप तुरन्त बहाल किया जाना चाहिए। महेश भट्ट ने उत्तर प्रदेश और देश के मुसलमानों से अपील की कि वह समय की माँग को पहचाने और कांग्रेस की विचारधरा को अपना समर्थन दें। उन्होंने कहा कि हिन्दुस्तान के हर राज्य में काग्रेंस की सरकार होनी चाहिए ताकि दलित और अल्पसंख्यक वर्ग उन्नति की ओर अग्रसर हो। उन्होंने कहा कि कांग्रेस एक ऐसा दल है जिसके प्रत्येक धर्म-निर्पेक्ष और शांति प्रिय व्यक्ति विश्वास रखता है और स्वतंत्र देश का इतिहास गवाह है कि कांग्रेस ने सदैव पिछड़े वर्ग, अल्पसंख्यकों एवं मुसलमानों के विकास के लिये कार्य किया है जो कोई अन्य दल नहीं कर सका।

अपने अध्यक्षीय भाषण में श्री अज़ीज़ बर्नी ने कहा कि भारत के मुसलमान की हिस्सेदारी के बगैर हिन्दुस्तान नेतृत्व अस्तित्व विहीन रहेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि 30 जनवरी 1948 को सिर्फ महात्मा गाँधी का कत्ल नहीं हुआ था उस दिन हिन्दु राष्ट्र की आधारशीला रखी गई थी जिसे भारतीय मुसलमनों और धर्म-निरपेक्ष ताकतों ने नेस्तनाबूद कर दिया। अज़ीज़ बर्नी ने कहा कि मुसलमान वोट बैंक है वह हुकूमत बना सकता है और गिरा भी सकता है। कार्यक्रम के मानद अतिथि एन॰सी॰पी॰यू॰एल॰ के निदेशक डॉ॰ एम॰ हमीदुल्लाह भट्ट ने केन्द्रीय सरकार की पालीसियों की सराहना करते हुये कहा कि सरकार ने अल्पसंख्यकों और विशेष रूप से मुसलमानों के हितों का सदैव ध्यान रखा है और आशा है कि भविष्य में भी अल्पसंख्यकों के लिये और अधिक रास्ते खुलेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि केन्द्रीय सरकार उर्दू के विकास में विशेष रूचि रखती है।

कार्यक्रम के निदेशक एवं कारवान-ए-बेदारी के संयोजक जसीम मोहम्मद ने कहा कि वर्तमान समय की माँग है कि भारत के प्रत्येक प्रांत को साम्प्रदायिकता , स्वार्थ की नीतियों, भ्रष्टाचार, भाई भतीजावाद और ज़ात पात के चुंगल से निजात दिलाकर महात्मा गाँधी के सपनों को साकार किया जाये और यह कार्य कांग्रेस की सरकार में ही सम्भव है। उन्होंने कहा कि देश के पाँच प्रांतों में चुनाव चल रहे हैं और आवश्यकता है कि वहाँ की जनता को जागृत किया जाये की वह एक धर्म-निर्पेक्ष और जनता की हितेषी सरकार का चुनाव करें जिसके लिये मिल्लत बेदारी मुहिम कमेटी ‘‘कारवान-ए-बेदारी’’ का आयोजन कर रही है जो जनता के बीच जाकर कांग्रेस की अल्पसंख्यकों और विशेष रूप से मुसलमानों के हित में बनाई जाने वाली नीतियों से जनता को अवगत कराके कांग्रेस के पक्ष में चुनाव अभियान चलायेगा।

इस अवसर पर एम॰बी॰एम॰सी॰ के अध्यक्ष प्रो॰ रज़ाउल्लह खान, प्रो॰ हुमायु मुराद, अमुवि छात्रा नेत्री इरम खान और जामिया उर्दू के ओ॰एस॰डी॰ फरहत अली खान ने भी उपस्थित समुदाय को संबोधित किया।

Motorola Xoom 2 is lighter and quicker

Motorola has announced a follow-up model for its Xoom tablet. The Xoom 2 will come with a 10.1-inch glass display though the manufacturer is also coming out with a more manageable version at 8.2 inches called the Media Edition.

Both tablets will have a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and run the Android 3.2 operating system while providing WiFi, UMTS, 1 GB RAM and a 5 megapixel camera, which can record HD videos. The pre-installed software MotoCast allows for the tablet to have continual access to files saved on a PC.

Manufacturers say the Xoom 2 is furnished with a water-and dirt-resistant coating. The device weighs 599 grams or about 130 grams lighter than its predecessor while the Xoom 2 Media Edition weighs 386 grams and is especially designed for multimedia use with stereo speakers and a subwoofer.

Motorola claims the battery has a life of six hours during surfing and more than three days if only music is being played. The Xoom 2 is supposed to last about 10 hours during surfing.

While the large tablet will be available with 16 GB or 32 GB memory, the Media Edition will only be available with 16 GB. Both devices will hit the market in February. Motorola has not yet announced prices.

मुफ्त लैपटॉप पाने का तरीका!

भारत के तमाम राज्यों में इन दिनों सरकारें छात्रों को आईटी एजुकेशन के लिए प्रेरित करने में जुटी हैं। पहले तमिलनाडू की मुख्यमंत्री जयललिता द्वारा छात्रों को मुफ्त में लैपटॉप बांटने का ऐलान किया गया और अब असम के मुख्यमंत्री तरुण गोगोई ने यह घोषणा की है कि बोर्ड एग्जाम में 50 पर्सेंट से अधिक नंबर लाने वाले छात्रों को मुफ्त में लैपटॉप दिया जाएगा।

एक कार्यक्रम के दौरान गोगोई ने कहा, 'मेरी सरकार ने शिक्षा को विशेष तवज्जो दी है, क्योंकि यह अकेले निरक्षरता, गरीबी और बेरोजगारी को दूर कर सकता है।' साथ ही उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि शिक्षा, समय की मांग के अनुरूप ही होनी चाहिए। ऐसे में उनकी सरकार ने अगले साल स्कूल बोर्ड परीक्षा में 50 प्रतिशत से अधिक अंक पाने वाले छात्रों को कम्प्यूटर और लैपटॉप देने की घोषणा की है। ताकि छात्रों में आईटी एजुकेशन को लेकर जागरूकता बढ़े।

अगर एटीएम से जाली नोट निकले तो बैंक है जिम्मेदार

कई बार लोगों के साथ ऐसा होता है कि वे जब बैंक के एटीएम में जाते हैं तो उन्हें जाली या कटे-फटे नोट मिलते हैं। ये नोट उनके लिए समस्या हो जाते हैं। बैंक उन्हें लेने से इनकार कर देते हैं। लेकिन अब इस समस्या का हल निकल आया है। इस तरह के नोटों के लिए संबंधित बैंक ही जिम्मेदार होगा।

इतना ही नहीं अगर आपके अकाउंट से किसी ने एटीएम के जरिये धोखाधड़ी करके पैसे निकाले हैं तो भी बैंक ही जिम्मेदार होंगे। यह बात बैंकों के सिक्योरिटी से संबंधित एक सेमीनार से निकल कर सामने आई है। साइबर सोसायटी ते संयुक्त सचिव एसएन रामचन्द्रन ने कहा कि बैंकों को यह जिम्मेदारी लेनी ही होगी। एटीएम से निकले जाली नोट के मामले में वे जिम्मेदार हैं और ग्राहकों को इसकी शिकायत तुरंत बैंक को कर देनी चाहिए।

उमर अब्दुल्ला ने गूगल-फेसबुक जैसी वेबसाइटों के समर्थन में आते हुए कहा कि वेब जगत में सब चीजों पर सेंसरशिप लागू करना असंभव है.
हालांकि उन्होंने सोशल मीडिया में स्वयं नियमन की वकालत की.
उमर ने कहा, ‘मैं इस बात से सहमत नहीं हूं कि गूगल और फेसबुक से सभी चीजों पर सेंसरशिप के लिए कहा जा रहा है. मुझे लगता है कि यह संभव नहीं है.’
अपने ट्विटर अकाउंट पर कुछ गुमनाम लोगों के अपशब्दों का खुद भी शिकार होने की ओर इशारा करते हुए उन्होंने सोशल मीडिया में स्वयं नियमन की वकालत की.
मुख्यमंत्री ने कोलकाता साहित्य सम्मेलन में आयोजित चर्चा में भाग लेते हुए कहा, ‘सोशल मीडिया में कुछ स्वयं नियमन की जरूरत है जहां गुमनाम लोग आपके लिए बदतर तरीके के अपशब्दों का इस्तेमाल करते हैं.’

ध्यानमग्न हैं यहां देवता

हिमाचल प्रदेश के कुल्लू जिले के गांव गोशाल एवं इससे सटी छोटी बस्तियों में आगंतुकों को शोर न करने की चेतावनी दी गई है.

क्योंकि यहां 'भगवान' गहरी समाधि में लीन हैं. गांव वालों का विश्वास है कि शोर करने से देवताओं की समाधि भंग हो सकती है.

दस हजार से अधिक की जनसंख्या वाले इन गांवों में प्रत्येक वर्ष मकर संक्रांति से 42 दिनों तक जीवन थम सा जाता है. स्थानीय निवासी संगीत सुनना, टीवी देखना और यहां तक कि खेतों में काम करना भी बंद कर देते हैं.

गोशाल गांव के निवासी टिक्का राम ने बताया, "जब हमारे मुख्य देवता गहरी समाधि में चले जाते हैं तो यह बहुत ही पवित्र समय होता है. हमें उनकी शांति भंग करने का कोई अधिकार नहीं है. यदि भगवान की शांति भंग हुई तो हमारे ऊपर विपत्ति आ जाएगी."

मुख्य देवता भगवान गौतम हैं. इसके अलावा अन्य प्रमुख देवताओं में व्यास एवं कंचन नाग हैं.

उन्होंने बताया, "हम स्व आरोपित प्रतिबंध की इस विशिष्ट रीति का सदियों से पालन कर रहे हैं."

परम्परा के अनुसार गौतम, ऋषि व्यास एवं कंचन नाग के साथ समाधि के लिए अपने निवास स्थान को छोड़ देते हैं तो गोशाल स्थित गौतम भगवान का मंदिर प्रतिवर्ष मकर संक्रांति के दिन बंद हो जाता है. वे 42 दिन बाद लौटते हैं.

देवताओं के वापस आने पर मंदिर के दरवाजे 26 फरवरी को खोले जाएंगे और उसके बाद स्थानीय लोग दैनिक क्रियाकलाप शुरू करेंगे.

मंदिर समिति के अध्यक्ष वेद राम ने बताया, "स्थानीय लोग इस दौरान पूरी तरह शांत रहते हैं. शादियां वगैरह नहीं होती हैं."

इन नियमों से अतिथियों को भी छूट नहीं है.

पंचाल गांव की निवासी निर्मल देवी ने बताया, "इस दौरान महिलाओं को केवल कपड़े की सिलाई एवं स्वेटर की बुनाई की इजाजत होती है, क्योंकि इसमें शोर नहीं होता. इस दौरान रोजमर्रा के कामों से छुटकारा मिलता है."

पौराणिक मान्यताओं के आधार पर मंदिर के दरवाजे बंद करने से पहले गीली मिट्टी बिछा देते हैं. मान्यता के अनुसार 42 दिन बाद मंदिर के दरवाजे खोलने पर अगर यहां पर फूल मिले तो इसका अर्थ होता है कि गांव में खुशहाली रहेगी. यदि चारकोल मिलता है तो यह आगजनी की घटना का संकेत होता है और अनाज मिलना अच्छी फसल का संकेत होता है.

कुल्लू अपने स्थानीय देवी देवताओं के लिए प्रसिद्ध है, जिनका स्थानीय लोगों के जीवन पर जबरदस्त प्रभाव है.

बेलारूस की तीसरी वरीय विक्टोरिया अजारेंका ने शनिवार को आस्ट्रेलिया ओपन के महिला एकल फाइनल में मारिया शारापोवा हरा दिया.
बेलारूस की तीसरी वरीय विक्टोरिया अजारेंका ने आज मेलबर्न में आस्ट्रेलियाई ओपन टेनिस टूर्नामेंट के महिला एकल फाइनल में मारिया शारापोवा को सीधे सेटों में हराकर अपना पहला ग्रैंडस्लैम खिताब जीता. जिससे वह दुनिया की नंबर एक खिलाड़ी भी बन गई.
अजारेंका ने 2008 की चैम्पियन शारापोवा को 82 मिनट में 6-3, 6-0 से शिकस्त देकर ट्राफी हासिल की और वह लगातार पहली बार महिला ग्रैंडस्लैम खिताब जीतने वाली चौथी खिलाड़ी भी बनी.
अजारेंका ने कहा, मैं अगले साल यहां खेलने का इंतजार नहीं कर सकती. आस्ट्रेलिया में मेरा शानदार प्रदर्शन रहा. यह सपना सच होना है.इस तीसरी वरीय खिलाड़ी ने पहले सेट में 0-2 से पिछड़ने के बाद वापसी करत हुए अगले 13 में से 12 गेम जीते.
शारापोवा ने 30 सहज गलतियां की जबकि अजारेंका ने त्रुटिहीन टेनिस का प्रदर्शन करते हुए दो सेट में केवल 12 चूक की. शारापोवा ने कहा, किसी भी खेल में आपके कुछ अच्छे दिन होते हैं तो कुछ दिन कठिन भी होते हैं. कुछ ऐसे दिन भी होते हैं जिसमें चीजें आपके हिसाब से नहीं होती. विक्टोरिया ने आज अच्छा खेल दिखाया.
शारापोवा ने कहा, ‘आखिर में यह अंतिम दो खिलाड़ियों के बीच रहता है. ड्रा में सभी खिलाड़ियों के बीच विजेता को सब कुछ मिल जाता है. मैंने यहां शानदार जीत दर्ज की है और मैं यहां कड़े मुकाबले में हारी भी हूं लेकिन इसमें कोई शक नहीं है कि मैं वापसी करूंगी.’
अजारेंका ने टास जीतकर सर्विस करने का फैसला किया लेकिन उनकी शुरूआती काफी नर्वस रही और उन्होंने दो डबल फाल्ट की और पहला गेम गंवा दिया. शारापोवा ने पहले सेट में 2-0 की बढ़त बना ली, इसके बाद अजारेंका ने नियंत्रण बनाना शुरू किया.

संगीत के मंच पर अपनी आवाज का जादू बिखेरने वाली गायिका बेंयोंसे नोल्स का नाम अब कॉलेज छात्रों के पाठ्यक्रम में भी शामिल हो गया है.
कांटैक्ट म्यूजिक की खबर के अनुसार अमेरिका के रूटगर्स विश्वविद्यालय ने अपने महिला एवं लैंगिक शिक्षा के पाठ्यक्रम में बेयोंसे के संगीत करियर और जीवन को शामिल किया है.
न्यूजर्सी में स्थित इस विश्वविद्यालय के छात्रों को बेयोंसे के म्यूजिक वीडियो दिखाए जाएंगे. उनसे गायिका की छवि और संगीत की दुनिया पर प्रभाव का अध्ययन करने के लिए कहा जाएगा.
विश्वविद्यालय की वेबसाइट पर कहा गया है, ‘बेयोंसे के संगीत और करियर के माध्यम से अमेरिकी नस्ल, लिंग और लैंगिक राजनीति को समझ सकते हैं.’

मंत्री का डॉक्‍टरों को फरमान,हड़ताल करने पर काट लेंगे हाथ

जन स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य चेतना यात्रा में बिहार के स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य मंत्री ने हड़ताल की धमकी देने वाले जूनियर डॉक्‍टरों के हाथ काट लेने का फरमान सुनाया.

स्वस्थ बिहार मुहिम के तहत बिहार सरकार के स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य मंत्री अश्विनी कुमार चौबे ने डॉक्टरों को उनकी ड्यूटी याद दिलाते हुए कहा कि अस्पताल का काम छोड़कर प्राइवेट प्रैक्टिस करने वालों को बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा.
उन्होंने आए दिन जूनियर डॉक्टरों की हड़ताल की धमकियों को गंभीरता से लेते हुए कह डाला कि धमकी देने वालों के हाथ भी काट दिए जाते हैं.
गौरतलब है कि वेतन वृद्धि के मुद्दे पर 31 जनवरी से हड़ताल पर जाने का ऐलान कर चुके हैं.

बिहार में स्वस्थ बिहार मुहिम 28 जनवरी से जन स्वास्थ्य चेतना यात्रा के रुप में गांधी मैदान पटना शुरु हुई. इसके तहत राज्य के स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों में मरीजों की जांच की जाएगी. इसका 30 अप्रैल को समापन भागलपुर में होगा. राज्य के 10 हजार से ज्यादा स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों में लोगों का स्वास्थ्य जांचा जाएगा.

स्वास्थ्य मंत्री ने कहा कि गत वर्ष स्वास्थ्य महाकुंभ में तकरीबन 33 लाख मरीजों का इलाज किया गया था. यह पहला राज्य है जहां एक्युप्रेशर, आयुर्वेद
विधि से सात लाख लोगों की जांच की गई थी. इस बार एक करोड़ लोगों के स्वास्थ्य की जांच करने का लक्ष्य है. स्वास्थ्य महाकुंभ के माध्यम से जनसंख्या नियंत्रण, सुरक्षित प्रसव, छात्र-छात्रों को कृमि मुक्त करने के लिए स्कूलों में दवा वितरण, कालाजार उन्मूलन तथा मोतियाबिंद ऑपरेशन आदि अभियान शामिल है.

उन्होंने कहा कि भ्रूण जांच करने वाले चिकित्सकों एवं करवाने वाले अभिभावकों पर भी कार्रवाई की जाएगी. भागलपुर मेडिकल कॉलेज में शीघ्र ही स्नातकोत्तर की पढ़ाई प्रारंभ की जाएगी.

डॉक्टरों को प्रोत्साहित करते हुए चौबे ने कहा कि उन्हें बहुत जल्द डेढ़ गुणा वेतन मिलेगा. इस बीच चौबे सभी प्रमंडलों में दो-दो दिन रुकेंगे. सरकारी अस्पतालों का औचक निरीक्षण करेंगे. समापन समारोह में राज्यपाल, मुख्यमंत्री समेत कई मंत्री भी शामिल होंगे.

भारत को युवा नेताओं की जरूरत : प्रधानमंत्री

प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह ने कहा कि राजनीति में देश के युवाओं को आगे आना चाहिए.
मनमोहन सिंह ने देश के सभी वर्गो से अधिक से अधिक युवाओं को नेतृत्व सम्भालने की जरूरत पर जोर देते हुए शनिवार को कहा कि युवा नेता राष्ट्रीय मामलों में रचनात्मकता, ऊर्जा और उत्साह दिखाने में सक्षम होंगे.

दिल्ली छावनी में लगे नेशनल कैडेट कोर (एनसीसी) के वार्षिक गणतंत्र दिवस शिविर के समापन अवसर पर कैडेटों को सम्बोधित करते हुए 78 वर्षीय प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा, "हमारे देश को अधिक से अधिक युवा नेताओं की जरूरत है जो राष्ट्रहित से जुड़े विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में अपनी रचनात्मकता, ऊर्जा और उत्साह दिखा सकें."

परेड के दौरान युवा एनसीसी कैडेटों की सलामी लेने के बाद उन्होंने कहा, "अपने देश के युवाओं में मेरा पूरा विश्वास है. मुझे इसमें कोई संदेह नहीं कि सही मौका दिए जाने पर वे अपनी क्षमता दिखाएंगे."

खेलों और सामुदायिक सेवाओं सहित विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में कैडेटों के योगदान की प्रशंसा करते हुए प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा, "मुझे यह जानकर अत्यंत खुशी हुई कि एनसीसी कैडेटों ने मुम्बई में हुए सिलसिलेवार बम विस्फोटों और पिछले वर्ष आए भूकम्प के बाद पीड़ितों की अमूल्य सहायता की."

उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि स्वतंत्रता सेनानी सुभाष चंद्र बोस सरीखे कई भारतीय राष्ट्रीय नेता पहले कैडेट रहे थे और स्वयं में नेतृत्व का गुण विकसित किया था.

विदेशी मित्र राष्ट्रों के एनसीसी कैडेटों को शुभकामना देते हुए मनमोहन सिंह ने उनसे अपील की कि वे भारत से 'मैत्री, प्रेम और शांति' का संदेश लेकर लौटें.

प्रधानमंत्री ने 17 एनसीसी निदेशालयों का प्रतिनिधित्व करने वाले विजेता कैडेटों को पदक एवं पुरस्कार भी वितरित किए. कैडेटों ने एक माह चले शिविर के दौरान प्रतियोगिताओं में भाग लिया था.

It was 64 years back on this day i.e.30^th January, 1948 that the Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhiwas assassinated by the bullet of a communally charged fanatic Nathuram Godse, whoseaffiliations are best known and do not deserve to be mentioned here. It was first terroristact which holed nation’s secular fabric and inthe days to come, the weaker, downtrodden and particularly Muslimsbecame victim of the by productsgenerated by that “hate”campaign. India’s social and political landscapehas mush changed since that timeand a process has taken by whichcampaigns of violence and hate are being justified in the name of patriotism andnationalism. We are at a dangerous cross-road and it is high time when we analyze the facts and draw astrategy of political empowerment of Muslims asthe political establishment is the fountain head of all powers.

The constitution defines India as aUnion of States, whether it is a federation or a quasi-federation is for debatebut it is indeed sad that 64 yrs. of the country’s independence seem to havebeen insufficient in helping several sections of Indian citizenry among whom,the Muslims are the most deprived and marginalized community. Muslimsconstitute second largest segment of Indian population, they have artisan classand are the largest self employed section and their contribution to the nationbuilding is beyond any doubt but still they lagged behind all other religiouscommunities in every respect from education to employment. This issue demandsdeliberations and of late concerns have been shown by Indian political classand media as well, regarding Indian Muslims, their attitude, discriminationfaced by them and their socio-economic status.

The UPA Government realized thebackwardness of the Muslims in every walk of life and appointed SacharCommittee to analyze the “real” status of the Indian Muslims within the parametersof the development of the nation. Sachar Committee Report had put up theofficial seal on the deprivation of Muslims which revealed that Muslims acrossthe country are severely under-represented even in government employmentincluding Public Sector Undertakings. This fact is also evident in States wherethe political establishment has made Muslim welfare a key part of its charter.Sachar Committee reveals that in education, the Muslims are trailing behindeven SC/ST. The fact is that barring infant mortality and sex-ratio, Muslimsare way behind others.

No doubt, the government from time totime tried to pull the community up but all efforts failed to deliver thepositive results. Blaming only the government may not solve the problems. Thereis dire need to analyze other factors too. Apart from Sachar Committee, thePrime Minister’s 15 point programme, identification of Muslim concentrated 90districts and recently 4.5 percent separate quota within 27 percent OBC quotaare some of the steps which are aimed at welfare of Muslims. There were someother schemes like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan which may have been exploited but wefailed to cash on those and subsequently missed the bus.

Politically as voter, Muslim Communityis strong and every political party tries its best to grab their support. Butas political force they are negligible. Emergence of small Muslim centredpolitical outfits and groups are also diminishing their voting power due todivision of votes. The Indian Muslims need a leadership which will rouse themnot just on religious issues but organize them for educational andsocio-economic progress, so that they are in a better position to improvethemselves. It is time when we realize and accept in totality that thedestinies of Hindus and Muslims are inextricably intertwined. Mutual antagonismhas resulted in mutual suffering. Peace and compromise could lead to mutualprogress and strong nation building.

Another concern of the saner elementsof Indian society is that language policies of the governemnt deeply affect thereligious and linguistic minorities and so they have to be framed to fit thedemographic dispersal. That should be examined honestly because Muslimscommunity form 66 percent of all religious minorities and Urdu speaking communityform 50 percent of all linguistic minorities. It should be kept in mind thatall persons who have declared Urdu as their mother tongue are Muslims but only55 percent of the Muslims of the country have declared Urdu as their mothertongue. It should be realized that a religious or linguistic minority with itsvery limited resources cannot make up deficiencies of the educational system byavailing of its right under Article 30 of the Constitution. They must getconcessions from the public educational system financed and administered by thestate. Here also come the Report of the Rangnath Mishra commission in lightwhich must be seriously taken by the political class.

Thefundamental question which emerges from above stated facts is that how canMuslims claim equality? How can they achieve proficiency? What should beattitude of the political class according to the Constitution of India andsecularism which we profess? Should Muslims be content and lead a life ofcontentment by remaining weak and on the mercy of others?

राजस्थान की राजधानी जयपुर में आयोजित होने वाले चौथे जयपुर अंतरराष्ट्रीय फिल्म समारोह (जिफ) का उद्घाटन शुक्रवार को मशहूर सिने तारिका जया बच्चन करेंगी। जिफ के आयोजक हनुरोज ने बुधवार को यहां बताया कि इस पांच दिवसीय समारोह में 70 देशों की 178 फिल्मों का प्रदर्शन किया जाएगा। जया बच्चन को इस अवसर पर लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवार्ड से नवाजा जाएगा। इस वर्ष अमेरिका अतिथि देश रहेगा और नए फिल्म निर्माताओं के लिए कार्यशाला आयोजित की जाएगी। समारोह के दौरान अमेरिका, फ्रांस तथा भारत सहित अन्य देशों के 250 से अधिक फिल्म निर्माता, अभिनेता-अभिनेत्री तथा फिल्म जगत से जुड़ी हस्तियां मौजूद रहेंगी।

Google to merge user data across more services

Google Inc. is overhauling the way it treats user data, linking information across its array of email, video and social networking services so that information gathered in one place can be used in another.

For example, if you spent the last hour logged into Google to search the Web for skateboards, the next time you log into YouTube, there’s a good chance you’ll get recommendations for videos featuring Tony Hawk.

The changes take effect from March 1 and remove some of the legal hurdles that Google faced by having more than 70 different privacy policies across various services. Now, there will be one main policy covering services such as Google Plus, Gmail, search, YouTube and Maps, with separate ones covering sensitive services such as Google Wallet.

Still, the changes could irk privacy critics because of the sheer volume of information collected including your location, list of contacts and the contents of your email.

Google hopes to improve the user experience across its different services and give advertisers a better way to find customers.

“If you’re signed into Google, we can do things like suggest search queries or tailor your search results based on the interests you’ve expressed in Google (Plus), Gmail, and YouTube,” the company says on a new overview page for its privacy policy. “We’ll better understand which version of Pink or Jaguar you’re searching for and get you those results faster.”

Ryan Calo, director for privacy at the Stanford Center for Internet and Society, said Google is trying to do the best it can to simplify its privacy policy and make it transparent without bogging down people with pages of legalese. The privacy documents now run about 10,000 words, down from 68,000.

But he said the company still needs to be careful how it uses the data so that it helps users, without revealing sensitive information.

भारतीय निर्देशक ने जीता सनडांस-महिंद्रा पुरस्कार

भारतीय फिल्म निर्देशक सोनाली बोस समेत तीन अन्य फिल्म निर्माताओं ने 2012 का प्रतिष्ठित सनडांस इंस्टीट्यूट-महिंद्रा ग्लोबल फिल्म मेकिंग पुरस्कार जीता है। यह पुरस्कार विश्व भर से चुनी गई कुछ स्वतंत्र प्रतिभाओं को दिया जाता है। पुरस्कृत अंग्रेजी फिल्म अमू और आने वाली फिल्म चिटगांव के लिए चर्चित बोस को यह पुरस्कार उनके प्रोजेक्ट मारगारिता : विद अ स्ट्रॉ के लिए दिया गया।

अन्य विजेताओं में आस्ट्रेलियाई निर्देशक अरियल क्लेमैन को ‘पार्टीशन’ के लिए, दक्षिण अफ्रीका के एटिनी कालोस को ‘विस्तृत’ और चिली से डामिंगा सोटोमेयर को ‘लेट टू डाई यंग’ के लिए यह पुरस्कार मिला है। पुरस्कार में विजेताओं को 10,000 अमेरिकी डॉलर की धनराशि मिली है।

अमेरिका में आयोजित एक निजी कार्यक्रम में बुधवार को महिंद्रा ग्रुप के प्रबंध निदेशक आनंद महिंद्रा, मुंबई मंत्रा के अध्यक्ष रोहित खट्टर और सनडांस इंस्टीट्यूट के निदेशक मिशल सेटर ने यह पुरस्कार प्रदान किया। बोस को पुरस्कृत करते हुए आनंद महिंद्रा ने कहा, ‘हमारा मुख्य उद्देश्य संसाधनों का उपयोग कर अपने स्टेकहोल्डर और समुदायों के जीवन स्तर को सुधारना है।’ रोहित खट्टर ने कहा कि आजादी के बाद से भारतीय सिनेमा एक रोमांचक दौर में पहुंच चुका है।

भूपेन हजारिका को पद्म विभूषण, धर्मेन्द्र को पद्म भूषण

जाने माने गायक भूपेन हजारिका को मरणोपरांत दूसरे सबसे बड़े सम्मान पद्म विभूषण के लिए चुना गया है.
वही दूसरी तरफ मशहूर अभिनेता धर्मेन्द्र, शबाना आजमी और मीरा नायर का नाम इस साल पद्म भूषण विजेताओं की सूची में शामिल है.

जन गण मन ने बनाया विश्व रिकार्ड

औरंगाबाद शहर के 15000 से ज्यादा लोगों ने एक साथ ‘जन गण मन’ गाकर विश्व रिकार्ड बनाया.
आयोजकों ने कहा कि कुल 15243 लोगों ने एक साथ गाकर भारत का नाम ‘गिनीज बुक ऑफ वर्ल्ड रिकार्ड’ में दर्ज कराया.
इससे पहले का रिकार्ड पाकिस्तान का 5800 लोगों का था.
गिनीज वर्ल्ड रिकार्ड लिमिटेड में प्रमुख निर्णायक एंड्रेया बांफी ने राज्य सभा सांसद और स्थानीय लोकमत मीडिया के अध्यक्ष विजय दरड़ा को इससे संबंधित प्रमाणपत्र दिया.
उन्होंने स्थानीय लोगों की ओर से इसे ग्रहण किया.

दिल्ली में खुलेगी महिलाओं के लिए यूनिर्वसिटी

दिल्ली सरकार ने महिलाओं के लिए अलग विश्वविद्यालय खोलने की घोषणा की है.
मुख्यमंत्री शीला दीक्षित ने बुधवार को घोषणा की कि राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में एक विश्वविद्यालय जल्द ही बनाया जाएगा जो केवल महिलाओं के लिए होगा.

गणतंत्र दिवस के एक राज्य स्तरीय कार्यक्रम में उन्होंने कहा कि विश्वविद्यालय पूरे देश की महिलाओं के लिए खुला रहेगा और इसे महिला सशक्तिकरण के प्रयासों के तहत बनाया जा रहा है.

अपने संक्षिप्त संबोधन में शीला ने शहर के समक्ष मौजूद कई चुनौतियों का जिक्र किया और कहा कि राजधानी में लोगों का झुग्गियों में रहना हमारे लिए शर्म की बात है.

उन्होंने कहा कि हमारे लिए शर्म की बात है कि लोग झुग्गियों में रह रहे हैं. दिल्ली सरकार अगले 3-4 साल में शहर को झुग्गियों से मुक्त करने की दिशा में काम कर रही है.

राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों के सफल आयोजन का जिक्र करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि दिल्ली में हुए राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों ने एक उच्च मानदंड बनाया है और अब लंदन ओलंपिक हमारे स्तर का आयोजन करने के लिए प्रयासरत है.

लेफ्टिनेंट नवदीप को अशोक चक्र,तीन को कीर्ति चक्र और नौ को शौर्य चक्र सम्मान

गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह में गुरुवार को शांतिकाल का सर्वोच्च वीरता सम्मान अशोक चक्र मरणोपरांत लेफ्टिनेंट नवदीप सिंह को दिया जाएगा.
उग्रवाद विरोधी अभियान में बहादुरी का परिचय देने वाले एक अशोक चक्र, तीन सैन्यकर्मियों को कीर्ति चक्र और नौ अन्य को शौर्य चक्र से सम्मानित किया गया है.

कीर्ति चक्र पाने वालों में ग्रेनेडियर्स रेजीमेंट के लेफ्टिनेंट सुशील खजूरिया शामिल हैं,जिन्हें मरणोपरांत यह चक्र से सम्मानित किया जाएगा. उन्होंने पिछले साल जम्मू कश्मीर के कुपवाड़ा में एक मुठभेड़ के दौरान दो आतंकवादियों को मार गिराया था. लेफ्टिनेंट सुशील के बड़े भाई कैप्टन अनिल खजूरिया इस समय 22 असम राइफल्स में तैनात हैं.
सेना सेवा कोर में कमीशंड अधिकारी के रूप में शामिल हुए लेफ्टिनेंट सुशील 18वीं गेनेडियर्स रेजीमेंट के साथ संबद्ध थे.

लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल कमलदीप सिंह को भी कीर्ति चक्र से सम्मानित किया जा रहा है. 18वीं राष्ट्रीय राइफल्स में तैनात लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल कमलदीप ने जून महीने में जम्मू कश्मीर के कुपवाड़ा जिले में चार आतंकवादियों को मार गिराया था.

राजपूताना राइफल्स के कैप्टन आशुतोष कुमार भी कीर्ति चक्र से सम्मानित होंगे. उन्होंने आतंकवाद रोधी अभियान को सफलता से आगे बढाते हुए तीन
आतंकवादियों को मार गिराया था और एक अन्य को जीवित पकड़ने में मदद की थी. इन आतंकवादियों के पास से बड़े पैमाने पर हथियार और गोला बारूद भी बरामद किया गया था.

शौर्य चक्र पाने वाले नौ सैन्यकर्मियों में से दो नायब सुबेदार लाल सिंह खिची और नाइक सुमेर सिंह को मरणोपरांत यह सम्मान दिया जा रहा है.

पिछले साल देश भर में विभिन्न कार्रवाइयों के दौरान 71 सैन्यकर्मी शहीद हुए. शहादत देने वालों में 66 इंजीनियर रेजीमेंट के लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल अभिषेक
खत्री और आर्मी एवियेशन के लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल चौरिया ननैया नांजप्पा एवं लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल नितिन भाटिया शामिल हैं.

लेफ्टिनेंट नवदीप को मरणोपरांत अशोक चक्र

जम्मू-कश्मीर में नियंत्रण रेखा पर पिछले साल पाकिस्तानी आतंकवादियों की घुसपैठ के प्रयास को नाकाम करते हुए शहादत देने वाले लेफ्टिनेंट नवदीप सिंह को गणवंत्र दिवस पर शांतिकाल के सर्वोच्च वीरता पुरस्कार ‘अशोक चक्र’ से सम्मानित किया जाएगा.

राष्ट्रपति प्रतिभा पाटिल 26 जनवरी की परेड के सलामी मंच से लेफ्टिनेंट नवदीप के पिता मानद कैप्टन (सेवानिवृत्त) जोगिन्दर सिंह को अशोक चक्र
प्रदान करेंगी. इस समारोह की मुख्य अतिथि थाईलैंड की प्रधानमंत्री यिंगलक शिनावात्रा होंगी.

उत्तर कश्मीर के गुरेज सेक्टर में तैनात लेफ्टिनेंट नवदीप अपने परिवार की तीसरी पीढी के सैनिक थे. उन्होंने चेन्नई स्थित अधिकारी प्रशिक्षण अकादमी में प्रशिक्षण हासिल किया था. उन्होंने नियंत्रण रेखा पर दुर्दान्त आतंकवादियों की घुसपैठ के प्रयास को नाकाम किया था.

लेफ्टिनेंट नवदीप और उनकी कमांडो प्लाटून कांजालवान में 19 अगस्त को तैनात थी. उन्हें खुफिया खबर मिली थी कि आतंकवादियों का एक बड़ा समूह घुसपैठ की फिराक में है और उनके पास भारी मात्रा में अत्याधुनिक हथियार और गोला बारूद हैं.

आतंकवादियों की गतिविधियां देख लेफ्टिनेंट नवदीप ने घात लगायी और आतंकवादियों को अपने जाल में फंसाया. मुठभेड़ के दौरान उन्होंने अकेले दम पर तीन कुख्यात आतंकवादियों को मार गिराया. गंभीर रूप से जख्मी होने के बावजूद लेफ्टिनेंट नवदीप ने अपने साथी का जीवन बचाते हुए चौथे आतंकी को भी मार गिराया और उसके बाद दम तोड़ दिया.

इस अदम्य साहस और नेतृत्व क्षमता के कारण ही लेफ्टिनेंट नवदीप के साथियों ने लंबी मुठभेड के बाद 12 खतरनाक आतंकवादियों को मार गिराने में
सफलता पायी.

उदीयमान खिलाड़ी सौरभ वर्मा ने बुधवार को फाइनल में बी साई प्रणीत पर सीधे गेम में जीत दर्ज करके सीनियर राष्ट्रीय बैडमिंटन चैंपियनशिप का खिताब जीता.
मध्यप्रदेश का यह बीस वर्षीय खिलाड़ी पिछले महीने सैयद मोदी मेमोरियल इंडिया ओपन ग्रां प्री के फाइनल्स में पहुंचा था.उन्होंने पुरुष एकल के फाइनल में प्रणीत को 21-19, 21-19 से हराया.
नौवीं वरीयता प्राप्त पी वी सिंधु ने महिला एकल के फाइनल में उलटफेर करते हुए दूसरी वरीयता प्राप्त नेहा पंडित को 21-9, 21-14 से हराकर खिताब जीता. सिंधु ने केवल 29 मिनट में यह जीत दर्ज की.

वाशिंगटन : उच्च रक्तचाप की समस्या से परेशान हैं तो दिन में कम से कम तीन बार काली चाय (ब्लेक टी) पीयें। यह आपके उच्च रक्तचाप को नीचे लाने में मददगार है।

वेस्टर्न ऑस्ट्रेलिया यूनिवर्सिटी के अनुसंधानकर्ताओं ने पाया कि जो लोग दिन में तीन बार बिना दूध की चाय पीते हैं वे अपने रक्तचाप को औसतन दो से तीन प्वाइंट तक नियंत्रित करने में सफल रहते हैं।

हो सकता है इतना नियंत्रण काफी न लगे लेकिन यह उच्च रक्तचाप के होने अथवा दिल की बीमारी के जोखिम को रोकने के लिये अत्यधिक प्रभावी है।

अध्ययन के लेखक जोनाथन हागसन के हवाले से वैबएमडी ने बताया कि पहली बार पता लगा है कि लंबे समय तक काली चाय के इस्तेमाल से उच्च रक्तचाप वाले लोगों में इसके असर से रक्तचाप में दस प्रतिशत गिरावट आ सकती है और दिल के रोग तथा दिल के दौरे का खतरा भी दस प्रतिशत कम हो जाता है।

अध्ययन का ब्योरा आर्काइव्स इंटरनल मेडिसिन में प्रकाशित हुआ है। उसके अनुसार हाल के अध्ययनों में पाया गया कि ब्लेक टी पीने से आंतरिक रक्त नलिकाओं में पाई जाने वाली एन्डोथेलिअल कोषिकाओं की क्रियाशीलता बढती है। इन कोषिकाओं के काम न करने से ही रक्तचाप में बदलाव आता है।

एक अन्य अध्ययन में पाया गया कि चाय में पाया जाने वाले फ्लेवानोइड्स से रक्त नलिका की क्रिया में सुधार आता है और शरीर का वजन तथा पेट की वसा कम होती है।

दुनिया का पहला चुंबकीय साबुन तैयार

लंदन : एक महत्वपूर्ण अनुसंधान के अंतर्गत वैज्ञानिकों ने दुनिया का पहला चुंबकीय साबुन तैयार करने का दावा किया है। इस साबुन में पानी में घुले लौह तत्व वाले लवण होते हैं।

ब्रिस्टल विश्वविद्यालय के एक दल ने कहा कि घोल में डालने पर चुंबकीय क्षेत्र पर अपना प्रभाव दिखाने वाला यह साबुन तेल रिसाव के दौरान आर्द्रक के उपयोग से पैदा होने वाली दिक्कतों को दूर करेगा और औद्योगिक सफाई उत्पादों में क्रांतिकारी बदलाव लाएगा।

आर्द्रक द्रव पदार्थ में घोले जाने पर सतही तनाव कम करता है। दल ने क्लोराइड और ब्रोमाइड से बने निष्क्रिय आर्द्रक में लौहतत्व मिलाकर इस चुंबकीय साबुन को बनाया है।

दिल्ली-मुंबई रूट पर दौड़ेगी तीव्रगामी ट्रेन

नई दिल्ली : भारतीय रेल ने अपने महत्वाकांक्षी तीव्रगामी ट्रेन परियोजना के लिए जापान से हाथ मिलाया है। रेल मंत्रालय दिल्ली-मुंबई रेल कॉरिडोर पर यात्रा अवधि आधी करने के लिए मौजूदा दिल्ली-मुंबई रेलखंड के लिए जापान से नए इलेक्ट्रिक लोकोमोटीव ट्रेन खरीदेगा।

इस गोल्डेन रेल कॉरिडोर से जुड़े रेल मंत्रालय के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने कहा, जापान मौजूदा दिल्ली-मुंबई रेलखंड पर अधिकतम 160 से 200 किलोमीटर की रफ्तार से ट्रेनों के चलाने के बारे अध्ययन कर रहा है। वह अगले महीने अपना रिपोर्ट देगा। फिलहाल मुंबई राजधानी इस मार्ग पर 100 किलोमीटर प्रति घंटा की रफ्तार से चलती है और दिल्ली से मुंबई पहुंचने में 15 घंटे का समय लेती है।

अधिकारी ने कहा, हमारा लक्ष्य दिल्ली-मुंबई के बीच यात्रा में लगने वाले समय को आधा करना है। इसके लिए हमलोग मौजूदा रेल पटरी पर उच्च गति से चलने वाली ट्रेन खरीदेंगे। ईएमयू ट्रेनों की खरीदारी की जा सकती है, जिनमें 10 से 12 डब्बे होंगे।

उन्होंने कहा, चूंकि हमारे यहां मौजूद लोकोमोटीव का डिजाइन 200 किलोमीटर की चाल से चलने के लिए नहीं किया गया है। इसलिए हमें गोल्डेन रेल कॉरिडोर के लिए ट्रेन खरीदने होंगे। गोल्डेन रेल कारिडोर के तीव्रगामी ट्रेनों के लिए अलग से भाड़े की घोषणा की जाएगी।

The latest to join the team has been Mr. Harjit Singh Sidhu, who has joined as the Chief Operating Officer of the company. Prior to joining JRG Securities, Mr. Sidhu was the Executive Director at Delhi Stock Exchange. Earlier to joining the Delhi Stock Exchange he was designated as the Managing Director of the Ludhiana Stock Exchange, where he was employed for a decade.

देश के 63वें गणतंत्र दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में 21 जाने माने गायकों और संगीतकारों ने राष्ट्रगीत ‘वंदे मातरम्’ के नए संस्करण को अपनी आवाज दी है. इसे तबलवादक विक्रम घोष ने संगीतबद्ध किया है.
बंकिम चंद्र चटर्जी द्वारा 1882 में लिखे गए इस महान गीत को तैयार करने में सोनू निगम, शंकर महोदवन, सुनिधि चौहान, शुभा मुद्गल, रूप कुमार राठौड़, महालक्ष्मी अय्यर, पलाश सेन और उनका बैंड ‘इंडियन ओशन’ भी शामिल हैं.
घोष ने यहां एल्बम ‘वंदे मातरम्’ के उद्घाटन पर कहा ‘वंदे मातरम् का मेरा संस्करण आत्मविश्लेषी है. यह राष्ट्र गीत है जिसे स्वतंत्रता के 64 साल बाद एक नए मधुर गीत के रूप में पेश किया गया है.’

Rushdie “disgusted” by police plot

An “angry” Salman Rushdie claims he has found out that the intelligence provided to him by Rajasthan police about threat to his life if he attended the Jaipur Literature Festival was concocted to prevent him from going to India.

Mr. Rushdie took to microblogging site Twitter to vent his anger and responded to reports in The Hindu that said “Rajasthan police invented plot to keep away Rushdie.”

Mr. Rushdie tweeted, “Rajasthan police invented plot to keep away Rushdie’ I’ve investigated, & believe that I was indeed lied to. I am outraged and very angry.”

Responding to a comment to his tweet, Mr. Rushdie said he does not know if the false intelligence information was given by Rajasthan police under instructions from someone.

“Don’t know who gave orders. And yes I guess the same police who want to arrest (authors) Hari, Amitava, Jeet and Ruchir. Disgusting,” he said responding to a comment on whether it is the same police who now want to arrest writers for reading passages of his banned work The Satanic Verses at the festival.

Mr. Rushdie also posted a link to The Hindu’s news report that said local intelligence officials in Rajasthan had “invented” information about the assassination plot against him to keep him from attending the literary event. His accompanying tweet read, “Here’s the story. Astonishing.”

The author had dropped plans to attend the literature festival saying he was informed by intelligence sources in Maharasthra and Rajasthan that paid hitmen from the Mumbai underworld will “eliminate” him if he came to India.

Mr. Rushdie had expressed doubts about the “accuracy” of the intelligence but said in a statement that it would be “irresponsible” on his part to still attend the festival and put the lives of other authors and participants in danger.

In protest, authors Amitava Kumar, Hari Kunzru, Ruchir Joshi and Jeet Thayil had read passages of The Satanic Verses, a controversial 1988 novel by Mr. Rushdie that is banned in India. Police are now demanding to see tapes of the recordings of the authors reading from the banned book.

उन्होंने कहा, ‘भ्रष्टाचार एक गंभीर समस्या है, जिसे बहुआयामी प्रयासों के जरिए निपटना होगा. इस बीमारी को खत्म करने के लिए हमारी ओर से प्रयास जारी है.’
प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा, ‘हम एक सशक्त लोकपाल को लेकर प्रतिबद्ध हैं. इस संदर्भ में एक विधेयक लोकसभा में पारित किया गया,लेकिन राज्यसभा में ऐसा नहीं हो सका. भविष्य में हम सशक्त लोकपाल को लेकर आशावान हैं.’

आस्ट्रेलिया के वैज्ञानिकों ने अब एक नया आई फोन एप्लीकेशन इजाद किया है.

जो लोगों को सेहतमंद खाने के विकल्प खोजने में मदद करेगा. सिडनी यूनिवर्सिटी के एक दल का कहना है कि आई फोन का कैमरा पैकेटबंद खाने के बारकोड को पढ़कर बता देगा कि यह खाना सेहत के लिए अच्छा है या नहीं.

यहां भारतीय दूतावास की ओर से जारी एक बयान में कहा गया है, "दौरे के दौरन मीरा कुमार ने उच्चाधिकारियों तथा अन्य लोगों से स्पैनिश में बातचीत की।"

पारस्परिक बातचीत तथा संसदीय स्तर पर शिष्टमंडलों के नियमित पारस्परिक दौरे की जरूरत पर जोर देते हुए लोकसभा अध्यक्ष ने कहा कि दोनों देशों की संसद को बार-बार अपने अनुभव साझा करने की जरूरत है।

शिष्टमंडल ने पराग्वे के उपराष्ट्रपति फेडरिको फ्रांको से भी मुलाकात की। इसके अलावा अन्य नेताओं तथा वहां के सांसदों के साथ बैठकें भी हुईं।

कंपनी की ओर से एक बयान में कहा गया कि आयकर विभाग के अधिकारी कंपनी के कार्यालय पर आए थे. इस तरह के निरीक्षण सामान्य रूप से होते रहते हैं.

भारतीय पर्यटकों को सरलता से मिलेगा यूएस वीजा

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा ने पर्यटकों को लुभाने के लिए एक शासकीय आदेश जारी किया है.

पर्यटन पर अमेरिका आने की चाहत रखने वाले उभरती अर्थव्यवस्थाओं के लोगों के लिए ओबामा ने वीजा प्रक्रिया आसान बनाने के लिए निर्देश दिया है.

ओबामा ने विदेशी पर्यटन बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से यह आदेश जारी किया है.
राष्ट्रपति के आदेश से दो दिनों पहले यह पाया गया कि भारत, चीन और ब्राजील उन देशों में शामिल हैं जिनसे अमेरिका का पर्यटन राजस्व बढ़ रहा है.

ओबामा ने इस रणनीति का खुलासा करते हुए कहा, ‘हम यह मानकर चलें कि आने वाले वर्षो में तेजी से बढ़तीं अर्थव्यवस्थाओं वाले देशों जैसे चीन, भारत और ब्राजील से अधिक से अधिक संख्या में पर्यटक अमेरिका आएंगे.’

इस बात का उल्लेख करते हुए कि अमेरिकी पर्यटन वीजा के लिए आवेदन में बेतहाशा वृद्धि हो रही है, ओबामा ने अमेरिकी सरकार की एजेंसियों को निर्देश दिया कि वे पर्यटकों के लिए आसान वीजा प्रक्रिया का कार्यक्रम तैयार करें.

उल्लेखनीय है कि पर्यटन उद्योग ने वर्ष 2010 में अमेरिकी सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (जीडीपी) में 2.7 प्रतिशत का योगदान देने के साथ ही 75 लाख रोजगार पैदा किया है लेकिन 9/11 के आतंकवादी हमले के बाद सुरक्षा चिंताओं और बढ़ती प्रतियोगिता के चलते अमेरिका के पर्यटन राजस्व में कमी आई है.

भारत, चीन और ब्राजील के पर्यटकों ने वर्ष 2010 में अमेरिकी अर्थव्यवस्था में करीब 1.5 अरब डॉलर का योगदान दिया है.
भारत से अमेरिकी पर्यटन वीजा के लिए 651000 आवेदन हुए थे लेकिन अमेरिका ने केवल 272000 भारतीय पर्यटकों के लिए वीजा जारी किया.
भारतीय पर्यटकों की यह संख्या वर्ष 2003 से 140 फीसदी अधिक है.

चीन ने उतारी सस्ती ट्रेन

इसमें एक साथ 600 लोग यात्रा कर सकते हैं.
जू ने कहा कि नई ट्रेन परंपरागत ट्रेनों की तुलना में कम आवाज करती है.

विकास का भारतीय मॉडल अपनाना चाहते हैं अफ्रीकी

एक्शन फॉर इंडियन फोरम-2012 में 100 युवा सामाजिक नवप्रवर्तकों को सम्बोधित करते हुए पित्रोदा ने कहा कि भारत गरीबों की समस्या सुलझाने की एक खास स्थिति में है, क्योंकि यहां सर्वाधिक गरीब है और चुनौतियों से निपटने के लिए बड़ी संख्या में प्रतिभाएं हैं.

पित्रोदा ने उद्यमियों से कहा, "धनी लोगों की समस्याएं सुलझाने के लिए तो यहां ढेर सारी प्रतिभाएं हैं. गरीबों की समस्याएं सुलझाने के लिए नवप्रवर्तन की जरूरत है."

अपर्याप्त नींद है कई बीमारियों की वजह

लंदन : अगर आपको अच्छी नींद नहीं आने की समस्या है तो जागिए क्योंकि यह कम से कम 80 चिकित्सा विकारों की जननी है। अनुसंधानकर्ताओं ने दावा किया है उन्हें नींद की कमी से जुडे 86 चिकित्सा विकारों के सबूत मिले हैं। अगर नींद कम आने से निजात नहीं पाई गई तो अवसाद मधुमेह और उच्च रक्तचाप जैसी बीमारियां घर कर सकती हैं। ‘द लानसेट’ चिकित्सा पत्रिका में छपे अध्ययन के अनुसार चिकित्सकों ने इन विकारों की जड़ में जाने के लिए मरीजों से उनकी नींद की दशा के बारे में जानकारी ली और इस निर्णय पर पहुंचे।

डेली मेल के अनुसार कनाडा में लावाल विश्वविद्यालय तथा अमेरिका में विसकोनसिन विश्वविद्यालय के अनुसंधानकर्ताओं ने पाया कि अनिद्रा से लोगों के शारीरिक एवं मानसिक स्वास्थ्य पर ‘पर्याप्त दीर्घगामी प्रभाव ’ पडता है। उन्होंने कहा कि जांच और उस पर काबू पाने में हुई तरक्की के बावजूद अनिद्रा को हल्के में लिया जाता है और अक्सर इलाज नहीं किया जाता। इलाज करने वालों को चाहिए कि वह मरीजों से नियमित तौर पर उनकी नींद के बारे में जानकारी लें। अध्ययन के अनुसार रात को छह से आठ घंटे सोने वाले अधिक लंबा एवं स्वस्थ्य जीवन जीते हैं। इससे कम नींद लेने वाले अकाल मौत के शिकार होते हैं। कम से कम सात घंटा जरूर सोना चाहिए।

अनुसंधानकर्ताओं के अनुसार अनिद्रा के रोगियों में घबराहट और अवसाद के लक्षण अन्य के मुकाबले पांच गुना अधिक होते हैं। उन्हें दिल का दौरा पड़ने और मधुमेह की चपेट में आने का अधिक जोखिम होता है और अकाल मौत का भी खतरा रहता है। अध्ययन के अनुसार एंटीडिप्रेसेन्ट्स और एंटीहिस्तेमिनेस जैसी दवाओं को अनिद्रा के इलाज के रूप में अभी मान्यता मिलनी बाकी है। सुझाव है कि टेलीफोन के जरिए सलाह ग्रुप थेरेपी तथा इंटरनेट के जरिये खुद की मदद जैसे तरीके अपनाये जाने चाहिए। निद्रा विशेषज्ञ के अनुसार, स्कूलों में बच्चों उनके अभिवावकों तथा वयस्कों के लिए स्पष्ट राय के साथ नींद को लेकर अधिक ध्यान दिए जाने की जरूरत है।

दुनिया का सबसे छोटा 3डी नक्शा तैयार

लंदन : वैज्ञानिकों ने दुनिया का बेहद छोटा नक्शा बनाया है जिसे गिनीज वर्ल्ड रेकॉर्ड ने दुनिया का सबसे छोटा 3डी नक्शा करार दिया है।

ज्यूरिक में आईबीएम कंपनी के अनुसंधानकर्ताओं द्वारा बनाए गए इस नक्शे का आकार 22 बटा 11 माइक्रोमीटर है। अर्थात इसके आकार के एक हजार नक्शे नमक के एक कण के आकार के बराबर हैं।

डेली मेल में प्रकाशित खबर के मुताबिक इस नक्शे को एक पॉलीमर पर लिखा गया है। इसमें पांच लाख पिक्सल हैं जिनका आकार 20 बटा दो नैनोमीटर है। इसे महज दो मिनट 23 सेकेंड में बनाया गया है।

न्यूयॉर्क : इंटरनेट कंपनी गूगल किसी चीज के बारे में सिर्फ झटपट खोज करने के लिहाज से ही नहीं, बल्कि काम करने के लिहाज से भी सबसे बेहतर जगहों में शुमार है।

फॉर्च्यून पत्रिका ने कार्य संस्कृति के लिहाज से सर्वश्रेष्ठ 100 कंपनियों की सूची में गूगल को नंबर एक पर रखा है। गूगल अपने कर्मचारियों को मुफ्त में खाने-पीने की सुविधा समेत अनेक आकषर्क रियायतें देती है।
पत्रिका के ‘कार्य करने के लिहाज से 100 सर्वश्रेष्ठ कंपनियां’ 2012 सूची में अमेरिकी कंपनी गूगल को पहला स्थान प्रदान किया गया है। पिछले साल इस सूची में कंपनी तीन पायदान नीचे थी। फार्च्यून ने कहा, ‘गूगल में पिछले साल के मुकाबले आमदनी, मुनाफा, शेयरों की कीमत, नियुक्ति समेत सबकुछ सुधरा है। साथ ही कर्मचारी यहां काम करना भी पसंद करते हैं।’

पत्रिका के मुताबिक इस कंपनी के कर्मचारी न्यूयॉर्क कार्यालय में अपने मिशन, कार्य संस्कृति जैसी चीजों के प्रति समर्पित दिखते हैं। बोस्टन कंसल्टिंग ग्रुप को इस सूची में दूसरा स्थान दिया गया है। पत्रिका का कहना है कि वैश्विक स्तर पर परामर्श देने वाली यह कंपनी प्रत्येक परामर्शदाता की नियुक्ति पर 100 घंटे से अधिक समय और हजारों डॉलर खर्च करती है। इस कंपनी में एकबार नियुक्त होने के बाद कर्मचारी की सालाना औसत आय 1,39,000 डॉलर होती है।

इस सूची में मर्सिडीज बेंज यूएस -12, ड्रीमवर्क्‍स एनिमेशन-14, गोल्डमैन सॉक्स-33, इंटेल-46, एडोब-65, स्टारबक्स -73 और माइक्रोसॉफ्ट को 76वां स्थान दिया गया है। (एजेंसी)

पुणे वारियर्स से जुड़े रहेंगे गांगुली

नई दिल्ली : भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के पूर्व कप्तान सौरव गांगुली को इस साल अप्रैल में शुरू होने वाली इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग, आईपीएल के लिए पुणे वारियर्स ने अपनी टीम में बरकरार रखा है।

पहले तीन आइपीएल स़़त्रों में कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स के लिए खेलने वाले गांगुली ने पिछले साल चौथे टूर्नामेंट के बीच में वारियर्स से करार किया था। वह 2008 से 2010 तक शहरूख खान की टीम कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स की तरफ से खेले थे। पुणे वारियर्स के निदेशक अभिजीत सरकार ने कहा,‘हमें अपनी टीम में सौरव गांगुली जैसे स्तर के खिलाड़ी को शामिल कर गर्व महसूस हो रहा है। गांगुली भारत का महान क्रिकेटर है। उनसे अनेक खिलाड़ी प्रेरित भी होते हैं । उनकी टीम में मौजूदगी से खिलाड़ियों का मनोबल बढेगा।’

आईपीएल के अध्यक्ष राजीव शुक्ला ने कहा,‘गांगुली का रिकॉर्ड ही बोलता है कि वह कितना महान खिलाड़ी हैं। गांगुली जैसे महान खिलाड़ी की मौजूदगी से इस प्रतियोगिता स्तर और बढेगा।’

इसके अलावा किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब ने दक्षिण अफ्रीका के मध्यक्रम के बल्लेबाज डेविड मिलर को अपनी आईपीएल टीम में रखा है। आईपीएल का पांचवा सत्र दो माह के बाद चार अप्रैल से शुरू होगा।

आशा भोंसले जज होगी सुर-क्षेत्र की

सहारावन पर शुरू होने जा रहे संगीतमय शो की एक जज आशा भोंसले भी होगी। इसके अलावा अन्य जज आबिदा परवीन तथा रूणा लैला भी होगी। इस शो में टीम इंडिया के संरक्षक हिमेश रेशमिया तथा टीम पाकिस्तान के संरक्षक अतिफ असलम हैं।

सहारावन पर इस शो के शुरू होने से पहले ही इसका दायरा काफी व्यापक और बेहतर हो गया है। इस शो की पकिल्पना इस प्रकार की गई है जैसे कि यह भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच सुरों का संग्राम हो। टीम इंडिया को हिमेश रेशमिया तथा टीम पाकिस्तान को अतिफ असलम का संरक्षण प्राप्त है।

सूत्रों की माने तो आशा जी ने इस रियल्टी शो के लिए अपनी मंजूरी दे दी है। यह हो सकता है कि इससे पहले वह किसी शो में अतिथि निर्णायक की भूमिका में आईं हों, मगर इस मरतबा पहली बार वह किसी शो में प्रमुख निर्णायक की भूमिका में नजर आयेंगी।

इन दिनों शो की शूटिंग दुबई में चल रही है।

The unique feature Wildcard search enables searching the meaning of a particular word by just typing only a part of the spelling of the word.

One of its unique features is the Vocabulary List function, which helps in making individual vocabulary list by saving referred words in any one of the lists available in the dictionary.
